Squantz Pond Auto Show, October 9

29th edition of the new Fairfield Lions Club


Sunday, October 9 at Squantz Pond at 10 a.m.

The season has changed to fall with pumpkins and scarecrows everywhere and the weather is
begins to cool. All the trees around Squantz Pond are beginning to fill with beautiful fall colors. This
provides the perfect setting for the 29th Annual New Fairfield Lions Club Car Show in Squantz Pond State
To park. Come to Squantz Pond on Sunday, October 9 to see hundreds of cars, trucks and
Motorcycles of different brands, models and years. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. and viewing begins
at 10:00 a.m. Vehicle registration from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Judging will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Trophies will be awarded. Trophies will also be awarded to the vehicles that have traveled the longest
Distance, Best Automobile Club Representation, President’s Choice Award and, for the first time, New
Fairfield Leos Club Choice Award. In case of rain, the Auto Show Rain Date is scheduled for
Sunday October 16.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at the Lions Club catering tent and in a variety
other vendors will have their products on display for you to view and purchase as well.
Every year classic car owners and spectators come from all over the state of Connecticut, New
England and other states along the East Coast. Classic car show vehicle registration is $20 per
vehicle and general spectator admission are $5. per person.

The Car Show is the 2nd largest fundraiser for the new Fairfield Lions Club and the entire net
profits are redirected to the many programs, organizations and charities they sponsor in
New Fairfield and surrounding communities. The new Fairfield Lions Club sponsors annual events to
seniors, pediatric eye screening, CRIS radio for the hearing impaired, postgraduate scholarships
School Seniors and several local youth and sports organisations. They are also proud sponsors of
their young Lions who meet in middle school and high school, the New Fairfield Leos Club. Leos
The club will collect toys at the auto show, which will be given to children who are treated for
Pediatric cancer in local hospitals. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy and drop it off at the Leos’ table.
Come support the New Fairfield Lions Club and ensure that all owners of these
beautiful vehicles know that people like to see the fruits of their labor in maintenance or restoration
these beautiful vehicles.
