Press release

WARSAW – The Kosciusko Board of REALTORS® hosted its second annual KBOR Children’s Charity Car Show on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Tippy Creek Winery.

The event welcomed 51 car and motorcycle owners and a large crowd of spectators. Cars were judged in five different categories including Current Classic Cars, Current Classic Trucks, Classic Cars of the Future, Classic Trucks and Motorcycles of the Future. Best of the Show went to Jeff Clay and his 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger. Spectators voted for the People’s Choice Award, which went to Don Gilleland’s Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The Car Show raised $16,000 for KBOR’s children’s charities. This second annual car show is an example of real estate agents and their affiliates working together for a common cause: the children of Kosciusko County. Every dollar raised stays in Kosciusko County.

Among many annual initiatives, the funds support three annual $1,000 college scholarships, including the “Spirit of the Heart” award honoring late REALTOR® AGENTS who made an impact in their communities. KBOR also partners with local organizations such as Combined Community Services for Kosciusko Big Brothers Big Sisters’ annual backpack campaign and Boots for Scholars event.

The entire day would not have been made possible without the support of KBOR’s auto show sponsors: Ruoff Mortgage; National loyalty; Beacon Credit Union; Crossroads; DOMA; Fifth Third Bank; Meridian Title; metropolitan title; Patton Hall Real Estate; Teachers’ Credit Union; AnnieMac Residential Mortgage; Bev Ganshorn, Angie Hartley, Fab Holsclaw, Brian Peterson, all of Brian Peterson Real Estate; Brick and Beam; Century 21 Bradley’s Eric Hamman; The Deb Showley Group; Sally Bailey’s team; Joni Hire, Coldwell banker; Liz Decker of KBOR; dragonfly caterer; EnPack; Famous and cool details; Julia Moore of First Federal Savings; Foundation real estate group; The Gingerich Group; golden key inspection; H-Team Dream Homes; Group of titles at home; Living on the margins; Photograph by Jamie Plack; Keller Williams The R Group; City Lake Bank; McHatten Sadler; N&J Auto; Northern Lakes Real Estate; North West Bank; Former National Bank; Our Home Real Estate; Kim Beaman, RE/MAX Lakes; Jeremy Doerr, RE/MAX Partners; Donna Arnett, Berto Barrera, James Bausch, Brandon Creighton, Anna Gilsinger, Phil Kuhn, all of RE/MAX Results; Rockbottom furniture; The Rockwell Realty Team; Lori Horney, Brenda Rash, Linda Riley, Whitney Swanson, all of Ruoff Mortgage; skyline builders; Smokey Pines Cheese Company; The laboratory; Tippy Creek Winery; Tripp Insurance; Wildman and Wysong insurance.
