July Heats Up With Weekend Events | Serving Carson City for over 150 years

Carson City Downtown Revival Car Show
Chapter 3 of the Order of the Eastern Star Esther will host the Downtown Revival Car Show along Carson Street from Fifth to Robinson this Saturday. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., head downtown for vintage cars, music, a poker ride, and a scavenger hunt. Auto show prizes and winners to be announced at 3 p.m.

Comic show of madness
The Carson City Senior Center on 911 Beverly Dr. will present “Comedy Thru the Ages” Saturday at 2 and 7 pm. Tickets are free this year; the senior center will sell raffle tickets in the lobby before and after each performance.

Throw Down Cornhole Downtown Tournament
The Downtown Business Association of Carson City is hosting a cornhole tournament in Telegraph Square on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is a $ 50 buy-in for each team, and registration for pairs of teams begins at 9:30 a.m. second $ 200 and third $ 100.

Free Summer Concert Series
Jelly Bread and Sal’s Greenhouse will kick off the Levitt AMP Summer Concert Series this Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Brewery Arts Center. First come, first served. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Free Summer Movie Series
Berkshire Hathaway and the Classic Film Club will screen “What about Bob?” »At Mills Park on Friday at 8:30 p.m.

Weekly farmer’s market
The Carson City Farmers Market will be held at 412 N Stewart St. from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Popular sellers this year include Tee Jay’s Corner, Freshway Fish, Castle Rock Jewelry, and many more.

Children’s art in the afternoon
For children ages 5-10, the Brewery Arts Center will be hosting a free Afternoon Art class on Friday from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm This week’s project will be a collaborative effort ; students will draw a body, one part at a time, passing their paper to the other participants to add each part of the body using different mediums. Hot Wheels Downhill Race
The Carson Mall will host a Hot Wheels Downhill Race Saturday from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm Entries are $ 1 per car and participants will be divided into age groups. Ghost walk
