CHEER postpones auto show and craft fair until August 8



Due to the inclement weather forecast, CHEER announced that its 11th annual auto, truck and bike show has been rescheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 8 in the Warren L. and Charles C. community. Allen Jr. CHEER. Center, 20520 Sand Hill Road on Route 9, east of Georgetown. The program of events will remain the same.

The show was originally scheduled for Saturday August 7.

This is one of the many events celebrating CHEER’s 50th anniversary.

In addition to the dozens of vehicles on display in the parking lot, a craft fair will take place inside the building. Vendors will have an assortment of items for sale. There is still seller space available. For more information on costs and vendor space, call Katie at 302-854-9500.

A live auction of valuable merchandise will be led by volunteer auctioneer Dave Wilson at 12:00 p.m.

At 1 p.m., trophies will be awarded to show vehicles in several classes. All participants will receive a scoreboard plaque.

Pre-registration at $ 35 per vehicle is recommended. All vehicles must be registered and positioned before 10:00 am to be judged.

A limited number of barbecue lunch boxes featuring chicken or ribs will be sold for $ 15 each.

All the show’s activities are open to the public. Visitors are urged to use caution in new road patterns and to obey traffic and parking instructions so that everyone can stay safe. All funds raised through this event will benefit CHEER Services for Seniors in Sussex County.
