The Southern Wisconsin All Airborne Chapter of the 82nd Division Association will host its 19th annual auto show on Sunday, with all proceeds going to injured veterans.
The car show is free to spectators and there is a $10 entry fee for vehicles. Last year, the auto show had about 450 vehicles, said chapter representative Jack Gibbons. With warm weather and sunny skies predicted for Sunday, Gibbons said he hoped there would be even more cars.
The Injured Veterans Car Show will follow Kenosha’s Classic Cruise-In on Saturday. The Cruise-In will give Gibbons a chance to promote the chapter car show, he said.
“It helps that they’re the same weekend,” Gibbons said.
Over the years, the Southern Wisconsin All Airborne Chapter has raised tens of thousands of dollars for injured veterans at events such as the auto show. The auto show began helping a US Marine who lost his leg in Iraq, Gibbons said.
